I graduated in the Masters of Architectural Engineering at the faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Building science TU-Delft. My final thesis was on architecture and mobillity, integrating mobillity aspects into the architectural Design proces with a specialisation in building physics.

I like to spend my time visualizing and simulating design using 3d modelling techniques and software. During my studies I've developed a mayor interest in 3d architectural visualisation and in my free time I like to model 3d content for games.

my main free time obsession is low poly modelling, generating maximal detail with minimal means. I like to do optimisation and the improvement of renderingspeed with 3d geometry.

I am an allround modeller, able to work with Autocad, 3d studio max, Maya and Rhinoceros. I can perform graphic editing using Photoshop, Indesign , Illustrator and Dreamweaver.

With this portfolio I would like to show some of my study and free time projects.

A good 3d model can be used for a lot of different means. The following examples show some of my work done on study project, that involve a lot more than just using the model for rendering means. The models can prove very usefull for finding the right settings for more complicated issues, for instance glass division on a double curved surface, or finding the right opening sizes by doing lighting calculations.

A non moving image is a great way to show a project or object. Stills can be used for presentations and poster design and are relatively easy to make compared to an animation. The examples below show some of the stills I created for various study and free time projects.

Parametric models are able to change very quickly in properies by simply changing some of the starting parameters. This can be very usefull for making quick design changes, and get immediate result

Interactive desing models are basically real time movable models, meaning you can control them and see the movement ont screen. Interaction enhances perception and can give control and freedom to the user.

Ever wanted to have a quick scale model without a lot of scissor and paper work? Using digital means like 3d printing and lazercutting a model is quickly born. The following two examples show a combination of 3d printing in gypsum, and lazercutting in triplex and MDF wood plates.

In my free time I like to model content for games. Besides a lot of conversions (moving content from one game to another) I do a lot of own model creation. I especially like to model low polygon objects. Old games require an optimized model to run smooth, while modern day computer games hardly need this anymore. I like the art in creating maximal detail with minimal means. The examples below form a small grab out of my big collection of models.

A total conversion is a complete game overhaul. The old game content is entirely replaced with new content. There is a lot that comes in play when creating a TC. Not only do you need to create 3d models, you also need to setup sound, menu images and controls, artwork, change the game setup, and much more.
